A Time For You

Reiki treatments at “A Time For You” are performed in a softly lit, relaxing and ambient atmosphere. During your Reiki treatment, you remain fully clothed and are usually covered over. Whilst you are lying down on a therapy couch, your Reiki practitioner will gently place her hands in a series of positions on your body especially over the areas where your chakras are situated in order to gently unblock any obstructions to the movement of your own life force energy. You will probably feel warmth or tingling in the areas that are being treated with the Reiki energy and people find it an enjoyable and very relaxing experience. Scientific research has shown that during Reiki treatments both the practitioner’s and recipient’s brainwave patterns become synchronised in the “alpha” sate which is characteristic of deep relaxation and meditation.

Your initial session will take at least 1 hour and 15 minutes and will cost £30.00 as it will include a consultation. After your consultation session, you will be able to choose from either a 60 minute session (£25.00) or 90 a minute session (£35.00) for your subsequent treatments.

From a Reiki viewpoint, our physical pain and illness begins when our vital life force energy or “Ki” becomes blocked or weakened from disturbances. Throughout our lives it is our collection of experiences which shapes and defines who we are. If we were to liken our energetic bodies to a treasure chest it would contain every memory, belief, emotion and action that we have chosen to keep in it. Each one of these that we hold on to creates a contraction within our energetic bodies and obstructs the free flow of our “Ki” energy causing blocks wherever it is held. When Reiki energy is channelled through the practitioner’s hands it gently unblocks obstructions to our energy flow. Reiki balances the energy centres or chakras within the body which distribute Ki energy to our organs and physical bodies.

When a healing space is offered through the use of Reiki, old turmoil can be released so that our Ki energy can flow more freely which helps us to feel better emotionally, mentally and physically. It is not unusual for clients to feel an emotional release during or after a treatment due to the Reiki energy unblocking their energy flow and clients usually report feeling calmer, re-energised and experience an improved sense of overall wellbeing.

Our Reiki treatments can benefit anyone of any age and with any ailment that affects the body, emotions, mind and spirit.

We treat children and adolescents (when accompanied by an adult) who are especially receptive to Reiki’s gentle healing energy and enjoy having time to relax and chill-out away from the stresses and demands of their equally busy lives too.

A combination session of Reiki/talking therapy lasts 1.5 hours and is only (£35.00).
